How it works...
Solar Panels use photons found in Ultra Violet Rays (sunshine). The panels collects these photons and creates energy that is collected by the combiner box as a Direct Current (DC).
Commercial and residential properties require Alternating Current (AC) for all energy needs, it is the job of the inverter box to convert DC to AC.
From the inverter, energy is fed into the utility switch and main service panel of your property then on to you. Remember if the solar energy system generates more than you use, the excess if fed into the local grid via the utility switch.
